Support for courses and professional development of TAKU members
Arts and culture sector is developing very fast. New needs for professional skills and further training appear constantly.
The support for education aims at professional development
As a member of TAKU, invest in your expertise by applying for an educational grant. The application period is held once a year. For example, you can use the grant to:
- for courses at the open university, summer university or open university of applied sciences.
- for studies at adult education centers.
- for the purchase of professional literature.
- or expert seminars and professional industry events participation fee (excluding travel costs).
The grant is not available:
- for studies leading to a degree.
- for artistic work.
- to the same applicant in two academic years in a row as there must be at least one gap year in between.
- not to TAKU's student members. Reminder: Students working on a thesis can apply for TAKUtuki support in spring.
- the grant is not awarded for travel expenses and accommodation.
Application period and grant amount
- Application period: 8–30 September 2025
- Validity period: academic year 2025–2026 (September–August)
- Grant amount: maximum €500 / member / year
Apply for a grant using this form. The form is only in Finnish but you can submit your application in English.
The applicant must be a member of TAKU or become a member before submitting the application.
How and when will the decision be communicated?
The decisions will be made in mid-October. All the applicants will receive personal announcement after the decisions.
Payment and reporting of the grant
The grant will be transferred to the applicant’s account within one week of the decision. The recipient must submit a brief report on how the grant was used to TAKU by the end of August 2026.
