Why join a trade union in your field?

Only a trade union that specialises in your field understands the specific issues and situations you face in working life. As a member, you get sector-specific advice on employment terms and pay, as well as the opportunity to connect with a professional network of colleagues.

Trade unions are also the only organisations that represent employees in societal decision-making and work to safeguard employees’ rights and position. The more members we have, the stronger our collective voice.

And don’t forget the valuable member benefits available to you. You can find brief descriptions of them below.

Who are TAKU members?

You can join TAKU if you have a higher education degree in the arts or culture, are studying in the field, or work/ have worked in the sector.

We understand the many different forms of work and the specific issues faced by professionals in the arts and culture sector. You may be an employee, self-employed professional, entrepreneur – or a multi-job worker combining several of these forms of work. You can join TAKU already during your studies.
