Information and support for job search

TAKU offers support and advice also during the job search phase. Our members can take advantage of numerous free training courses: the themes support working life skills and job search. Akava Special Branches’ free career coaching offers personal support for job search, identifying one's own skills and career planning.

Do you need some help with, for example, writing a resume or job application? TAKU is happy to help its members personally, taku@taku.fi

Support for employment issues

We help our members with issues related to employment contracts, employment terms and conditions and salary in the arts and culture sector.

If your employer is not covered by the TES agreement, you can apply the salary and employment recommendations for the arts and culture sector produced by TAKU.

You can also have your employment contract reviewed by us before signing it.

What should I do if I lose my job?

  • Register at the TE Office as a job seeker on your first day of unemployment.
  • Submit your daily allowance application after 2 weeks via Erko's online services.
  • Erko will ask any additional questions you may have and process your daily allowance application as soon as possible.
  • Notify the end of your employment relationship via Akava Special Branches online services >>

 

What should I do if I am laid off?

  • Register with the TE Office on the first day of unemployment.
  • Apply for daily allowance after two weeks via Erko's online services.
  • Make the extension applications according to your previous salary payment period.
  • Wait patiently, Erko will ask for the necessary additional information.
