Now we are talking about your working life, come along! The program includes discussions, speeches, inspiration, tips and an exchange of ideas based on the work of the industry. There will also be content from the exhibitors enriching the theme of the day – not to forget the great company of colleagues and networking.

ASK, which provides a meeting place for cultural experts and a channel for the renewal of working life, will be held on May 17, 2024 at Helsinki's Kulttuuritalo. The event is produced by TAKU and the language is Finnish.

The theme of 2024 is mental well-being and coping at work

The event offers answers to questions about mental well-being and coping at work –

  • How could well-being at work and coping skills of experts working in art, culture and events be promoted?
  • What kind of questions are topical in the field right now?
  • Which factors related to the work culture are relevant in terms of coping?

KEY NOTE:

Recovery gives energy to everyday life. Why should you be interested in recovery also in your passion work? Anniina Virtanen (psychologist, special expert/ Institute of Occupational Health).

COACHING SESSION, CHOOSE A THEME:

A. Increase your resources with self-knowledge. Do you recognize your own strengths? How can you increase compassion and self-esteem? And how can you set limits on your work, what is enough? Laura Köönikkä (work supervisor, work community expert, expert in the creative field).

B. Achieve well-being by influencing the employee experience. What makes a good employee experience and how can it be developed? What is the significance of the organization culture and structures in terms of well-being at work? Paula Helle (work community expert/ Workday Designers).

Panel discussion:

Discussion about teamwork and the best workplace practices for mental well-being! Three professionals who have a long career in various cultural organizations are involved, panelists are: Mari Hatakka (managing director/ Tavastia-klubi), Nina Toppila (managing director/ Taidehalli) and Marianna Lehtinen (cultural services manager/ Tampereen kaupunki).
