TAKU ry offers its members a variety of useful benefits, utilizing Akava's professional functions for promoting the interests of the fields of art and culture and through Akava Special Branches and The Unemployment Fund for Higher Educated Employees Erko.

As a salary-earning member of TAKU, your unemployment-related matters are the responsibility of The Unemployment Fund for Higher Educated Employees Erko. The union’s membership fee includes the fund’s membership fees.
If you’re an entrepreneur or a self-employed, your unemployment security is provided through The Unemployment Fund for Entrepreneurs and the Self-Employed SYT, which you need to join separately.
The expert lawyers of Akava Special Branches will offer you help regarding all your work-relationship-related questions and problems. In work relationship counselling, you may, for instance, get your work agreement checked before signing it, ask for advice related to terminating your contract or co-operation negotiations, or get help for any other matter you might encounter.
We offer our members personal salary-related advice based on statistics, minimum salary recommendations and collective agreements, by phone and email.

Advice for family and inheritance law
The members may receive advice for family and inheritance law from Akava Special Branches. The membership benefit also contains a way to draw up documents based on family and inheritance law, such as the creation of agreements for terms of marriage and wills.
TAKU and Akava Special Branches have taken three forms of insurance for their members. You receive all of them as a membership benefit. The union membership card operates as a travel insurance card. Always keep it with you while travelling.

UP! Partners has implemented a career service, which allows you to reserve a time for personal career advice and sparring. Education and events
The members may participate in various training sessions advancing their professional expertise and work-life skills. These are organized all around Finland and, whenever possible, also as webinars, allowing remote participation. TAKU’s own training sessions mainly concentrate on professional questions of art and culture fields, while Akava Special Branches offers training sessions concerning more general matters of working life.
We do not only offer training, however - we also organize more freeform events, such as our popular lunch dates and visits to cultural events. In these events you can meet other TAKU members, engage in networking or otherwise enjoy yourself.
